Prices for Titanic memorabilia continue to spiral. In a Christie's sale in New York yesterday (Thursday June 1) a painted bronze flag with the insignia of the White Star line - owners of the liner - sold together with a Titanic name board from one of the lifeboats that carried passengers to safety after April 14, 1912 sinking sold for £38,600 ($72 000). They had been estimated at £27,000-38,000 ($50 000-70 000). A "Liverpool" port sign and another bronze Titanic name board, sold together for £32,000 ($60,000).

This book was written by Logan Marshall, not L.T.Myers (they are the publishers). In fine condition it might fetch up to £50, but a poor copy might fetch only £2 or £3. Worn out examples of this book are very common in America. As usual it all depends on condition.

ReplyDeleteHi i have a hand painted 3D large wall clock of the titanic it is a picture of the ship that comes out of the sea, in 3D it is a seen of the ship setting sail, and it is all hand painted. it looks like a poster for the titanic as

ReplyDeleteIf it's an original copy, examples in good condition make between £60-100 at auction. However, that edition of the newspaper was subsequently reprinted as a souvenir and have little or no resale value.
